Welcome to Kerry Armstrong's Fundraising Page

I am thrilled to announce that I will be traveling to Kenya this July to support the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute in providing a Level 2 teacher training for over 70 Kenyans! The Africa Yoga project provides yoga to over 5,000 Africans per week. It’s an amazing organization that continues to bring so much Joy, Love and Compassion to the Kenyan communities. AYP cultivates the opportunity for African yoga teachers to have jobs and provide food and resources for their families.

When Paige Elenson the founder of the Africa Yoga Project reached out to me to see if I would come to Africa and assist the teacher-training program. My immediate response was, YES! How could I say no to such an amazing opportunity to be of service to others on a global level! I know from experience that the Baptiste teacher trainings work and I have seen them create profound shifts in others for the better.

My journey into Baptiste Yoga began in the summer of 2009. I was doing a 6-month yoga study on my own because I knew I wanted to become a teacher, but I was unsure of what type of yoga I wanted to teach. Towards the end of my study, I had scheduled myself to take Baron Baptiste's Foundations into Action program. The program blew my mind, and I knew by the first day that I was to become a Baptiste Teacher. The teachings of Baron spoke so deeply to my heart, the physical practice was invigorating and the community was out of the box FUN!

After attending varies teacher trainings with Baptiste, I decided to open a studio in Salt Lake City called Salt Lake Power Yoga. The studio is really a vessel for me to teach and share what I love.  It’s a way for me to be in my creative self, in my full self-expression and to empower others to reach their highest potential. After opening the studio, I thought, “What's next? How can I share Baptiste yoga on a global level and give back to people that might need Baptiste yoga?”  So I created hitPLAYyoga.com, which is an online audio yoga podcast company that has a vast number of teachers, yoga classes and meditations. Also, for each member that signs up with hitPLAYyoga, a portion of his or her membership goes into our Empowerment Fund, which is then donated to the Africa Yoga Project.

I am so excited to be furthering my commitment to transformation by assisting the Level 2 training this July but I NEED YOUR HELP! In order to fulfill my commitment I need to raise over $5,000. This money will provide for the build out of the training. We will have over 70 teachers from all over Africa that will be participating in the training and your support will go directly to the Africa Yoga Project Scholarship Fund, which will provide travel, accommodations, food, and education for these teachers.

I sincerely appreciate any donations you can make!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,
